2012 Awards of Excellence

The KPA 2012 Awards of Excellence entries will be uploaded electronically this year through the Better Newspaper Contest website. This process will prove to be easier for the participating newspapers! Click here for the 2012 Call for Entries and uploading instructions.

We have put together two videos and one slideshow to help you understand the uploading process. We think you will find it quite simple but we want you to have all the tools you need to help make your participation in the AOE contest easier and more fun! The first video focuses on how to upload to the website and the second explains how to pay via PayPal or mail.

2011 Awards of Excellence

Kansas Press Association sponsors its annual Awards of Excellence competition to recognize outstanding work by Kansas newspapers. The 34 contest categories focus on writing, photography, design, special sections and newspaper web sites. In 2011, 90 Kansas newspapers submitted more than 3,600 contest entries. The former advertising contest including competition in ad concepts, design and revenue ideas has been incorporated into the Awards of Excellence.
